Ericssons Media Vision 2020 predicts that the convergence of media and telecoms will result in 50 billion connected devices globally by the year 2020, ushering in a new era of entertainment and connectivity. To address the creation, delivery and distribution challenges associated with the increasingly multiscreen and multiplatform driven media value chain, Ericsson is introducing the latest release of the enterprise-class software solution Ericsson Content Management System.
Ericsson Content Management System integrates seamlessly with media management, media processing and other broadcast infrastructure to provide a comprehensive platform for the end-to-end management of content operations for the television industry, including content owners, content aggregators, broadcasters and pay TV operators.
The solution provides agile throughput performance from ingestion to distribution and a content library that scales up to 10 million titles for effectively managing assets across all screens under one centralised management system. With automated template workflows and open adapter-based cloud-ready architecture, it enables operators to merge content silos and transition to Future TV Anywhere delivery platforms and networks.
To accommodate the explosive growth in content offerings, the latest Ericsson Content Management System features multiple enhancements that will provide operators a simplified and intuitive multi language, graphical user interface (GUI) based user portal that is usable by all employees and allows business managers to efficiently manage the system.

Content Management System enables a variety of deployment models depending on business imperatives. It is also available as an option in off-the-shelf configurations for quicker time-to-market and reduced CapEx. The latest release will be available in May 2015.
