PlayBox Neo exhibited the latest additions to its range of broadcast playout and channel branding solutions.
PlayBox Neo has reported a successful CABSAT 2021 exhibition, held at the Dubai World Trade Centre from October 26-28. Key elements of attention on the company’s stand were the latest PlayBox Neo advances in ingest management as well as server-based and cloud-based broadcast playout.
Pavlin Rahnev, CEO of PlayBox Neo, said: “CABSAT has long proved a very productive show for us as a venue for meeting existing customers and expanding our visibility throughout Africa and the Middle East. Covid-based restrictions on long-distance air travel are actually strengthening the role of geographically focused shows. This year’s CABSAT exceeded expectations.
“Our recently introduced Capture Suite attracted strong attention for its ability to increase the efficiency of broadcast content ingest departments. Traditional ingest workflow can easily be overwhelmed if a large amount of broadcast content arrives over a short time. We demonstrated Capture Suite’s ability to control multiple ingest channels across a practically unlimited number of servers from a single web user interface. This created a lot of interest.
“Automated server-based playout continues to be the preferred mode of operation among broadcasters throughout the CABSAT catchment area, and indeed globally. We promoted the latest additions to AirBox Neo-20 which provides full support for terrestrial, satellite, cable and IP-streamed transmission. The feature set has been expanded with new tools and greater connectivity for use across UHD, HD and SD and multi-standard networks.
“Cloud2TV also formed a centrepiece of our CABSAT demonstration, both as a network-attached alternative to on-site servers and to accommodate supplementary channels. Cloud2TV also forms a robust platform for secure media asset management and archiving, accessible by authorized personnel anywhere in the world.
“A central part of our CABSAT message was the high level of support offered by PlayBox Neo during installation and throughout the entire lifetime of a system. Our service agreements include fast online support if needed plus access to the latest software updates.”
