Exterity will make its Mediatech Africa debut on July 17-19 at Stand F31, Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg. The company will display a number of solutions including the ArtioGuest, ArtioSign, AvediaStream g4400 Gateway and more.
Exterity, IP video and digital signage technologies provider, will make its Mediatech Africa debut on July 17-19 (Stand F31, Ticketpro Dome, Johannesburg).
The show offers Exterity the opportunity to demonstrate to the African marketplace its IPTV technology and digital signage solutions.
Gary Davies, Sub Sahara Sales Manager, Exterity, commented: “Sub-Saharan Africa is ripe with potential, particularly in technology-powered areas such as financial and business services, as well as a growing hospitality industry, and we are working with a number of exciting customers in the region.”
“At our inaugural Mediatech Africa, we are excited to meet existing and potential customers that are looking to provide best-in-class integrated communications for their businesses. From corporate and finance to hospitality, entertainment venues and government, we already support a broad range of industries and will be showcasing our largest ever portfolio of IP video, digital signage and guest entertainment products,” he added.
Some of the Exterity products and solutions being showcased at Mediatech Africa 2019 include ArtioGuest which is a hotel middleware portal. Launched in 2018, ArtioGuest has already been deployed at hospitality venues across the Middle East and Asia Pacific region, including the Six Senses Zighy Bay resort.
Recent enhancements to ArtioGuest include video-on-demand (VoD) support, recording, Google Chromecast support, TV source switching, multilanguage support and Mailbox.
On display will be the ArtioSign which is a software used to create, manage and display HD digital signage.
Other solutions on display will be the new built-in support for Network Device Interface (NDI), which promises an easy distribution of production-quality video from an NDI live production environment to all screens in an Exterity IPTV system, and input of live TV streams into an NDI production environment.
Exteritys AvediaStream g4400 Gateway has built-in support for SRT (Secure Reliable Transport), an open-source protocol that enables broadcasters and video streamers to securely deliver live streams across the internet without the need for costly, dedicated delivery networks.
SRT is fast emerging as a standard for the secure transport of video, and the gateway enhancement ensures the seamless distribution of video, with minimal delay, between remote sites to all screens within an Exterity IPTV installation.
Exterity will be showcasing its AvediaPlayer 4K Media Player. Exteritys AvediaPlayer range of media players includes the m9405 Media Player, which is the final piece of the 4K puzzle for a complete end-to-end, all-Exterity 4K workflow.
Key features include 4K Ultra HD video quality; 32GB storage to support hours of media-rich digital signage; a cool, fanless design; and cost-effective Power over Ethernet (PoE).
Another solution on display includes Smart Control which is a software app that brings control of key IP video system applications and endpoints, including non-Exterity devices, into one central location.
Smart Control enables management of a mixed device IPTV system and brings the control apps for ArtioSign and ArtioGuest into one place.
Commands include the ability to control individual and groups of devices, such as turning devices on/off setting volume/mute/unmute, changing channels, publishing playlists and schedules to groups of screens and more, all with familiar drag-and-drop ease.
