Speaking about the OTT solution, David McDonald, COO and Co-founder of FlixForge Ltd, said: “We are delighted to be exhibiting at CABSAT for the first time. At FlixForge, we have been successfully powering a number of regional OTT services, including Darya for Afghani communities around the world and BledFlix, a multi-lingual service targeting North African communities.
“The MENA region is a major priority for our business, especially given the importance of local language and content. Also, the key role social media and digital channels play in engaging audiences plays to our strengths as a platform.
“We look forward to meeting many new broadcasters and content partners during the conference and forging important new connections and partners.”
He added: “We already support clients in the MENA region. It’s a territory we are interested in expanding as we believe our solution can make the lives of many Middle East broadcasters easier and more profitable, allowing them to reach audiences in greater numbers.”
Dubai-based Moby Group has licensed the FlixForge platform to build a global audience through its new service darya.net. Darya is an AVOD service for Dari and Pashto-speaking audiences, both within Afghanistan and across the world.
