FOR-A Company Limited will have a dedicated stand at CABSAT, as it does every year, with a focus on delivering the latest solutions across its live production products, servers, compression and graphics systems that align with its vision of 12G- and IP-enabled productions.
It will showcase the next generation in its line of signal processors the FA-9600. The dual-channel unit provides HDR and wide colour gamut support and conversion of multiple formats, such as 12G, 4K (UHD), 1080p and SD/HD. Each of its two HD/SD inputs includes a frame synchroniser. Because the multi-purpose signal processor features 12G-SDI terminals, optional software opens the door to 4K(UHD) production. Adding an expansion card provides four more channels of 3G-SDI input/output or six channels of 12G-SDI distributed output.
The FA-9600 simplifies all types of video conversion. A newly developed colour processing circuit supports the latest gamut and dynamic range specifications, and an optional converter circuit is available for up/down/cross conversion.
FOR-A will also demonstrate its media orchestration platform (SOM-100), which provides seamless interoperability between baseband and IP traffic, allowing customers to migrate to IP-based solutions while protecting their current investment. It will demonstrate a stronger and more efficient HD integration with third-party graphics, replay systems and production servers resulting in greater flexibility and improved cost savings.
Finally, FOR-A plans to showcase the latest developments in remote production using Fujitsu IP-HE950 H.265/HEVC real-time video encoders.
Speaking about the importance of the show, Takaaki Imoto, Senior General Manager, Overseas Sales & Marketing Division at FOR-A, said: CABSAT is a key platform for us to connect with our customers. In previous years, FOR-A has used this event to directly engage with customers and to identify new business opportunities and market trends. This year, we will continue to do that and launch some very exciting products which we hope will draw even more attention to our solutions.
He added that despite the political instability in many MENA countries, FOR-A had managed to secure some visible and sizable projects in other parts of the MENA territory: Planning our activities and sales efforts has been challenging, but weve managed to find ways to adapt our strategy and focus on more stable markets.
