Fujifilm in association with Grand Stores – the sole distributor in the UAE, has officially launched the latest flagship mirrorless camera X-H2S in the UAE Market.
The product launch was officially announced at an exclusive event held at the studio of FlightCase Entertainment on August 12, 2022.
The launch ceremony showcased multiple units of the new camera at the venue, configured with both FUJINON professional cinema zoom lens and a selection of native FUJINON X-Mount lenses enabling the visitors to have a hands-on experience of the imaging technology inbuilt into these devices.
Richard Lackey – Marketing Manager for Fujifilm Middle East, Electronic Imaging and Optical Devices, Francois Kouyoumjian – Sales Manager for Fujifilm Middle East, Electronic Imaging along with senior officials of Grand Stores introduced the new products to the exclusive set of attendees which included major professional photographers in the region, video and cinema industry specialists, imaging enthusiasts, members of the press and media as well as experts in the industry.
Speaking on the occasion about the new and improved standout features of its latest offering in mirrorless cameras, Richard Lackey said: “The Fujifilm X-H2S incorporates industry leading, production ready video technologies built around the latest generation X-Trans CMOS 5 HS sensor enabling 6.2K video to be recorded to Apple ProRes format internally, and the high-speed X-Processor 5 boasting double the processing speed of the previous model. We, along with our partner Grand Stores, intend to continue to meet our customers’ demands by focusing on providing the best possible technology, taking the image-making experience to a whole new level.”
The X-H2S is a new flagship model boasting the highest performance in both stills and videos in the history of the X Series. This has been made possible by the use of the new stacked-layer back-illuminated 26.16MP “X-Trans CMOS 5 HS” sensor capable of reading signals four times faster than the previous model. The X-H2S features an evolved AF system capable of shooting up to 40 frames per second and offering newly-developed subject-recognition AF technology, and can film 6.2K/30P and 4K/120P video.
Other features include the five-axis in-body image stabilisation that offers up to a 7.0-stop advantage, a highly-robust magnesium body, hardware that incorporates operability improved from the previous model, as well as extensive interface options including the new slot for a CFexpress Type B card and an optional file transmitter (sold separately).
