Participating in CABSAT will offer an opportunity to unveil latest offerings and collect feedback to further refine their products.
Glensound is set to showcase the newest additions to its expansive lineup of networked audio products at CABSAT 2024. As Audio over IP (AoIP) continues to solidify its position as a crucial component of broadcast and AV production architectures, Glensound leads the charge in delivering utility and practicality.
The AoIP22M is a compact and portable interface engineered to transmit two audio channels to Dante/AES67 networked audio systems. This updated version features switches for seamlessly toggling between microphone and line levels on the inputs, along with individual controls for 48V phantom power and gain. With the ability to draw power from Ethernet via a rugged Ethercon connector or a simple USB source, the AoIP22M ensures convenience, enabling operation virtually anywhere. Moreover, users can switch the output to come from the network or the amp itself, transforming the AoIP22M into either a network mic amp or a standalone analogue mic amp.
Also making its debut is the DARK DAWN 1616M, the latest addition to Glensound’s range of industry-standard interfaces. This cutting-edge device features microphone-level inputs with high-quality amplification, enhancing rigging flexibility and ease of use. Users can remotely switch inputs between line, mic, and 48V phantom power via the dedicated app, with gain control accessible from both the front panel and the app. Additionally, network outputs can be monitored, all housed within a compact 1U cabinet equipped with dual redundant power supplies.
In response to the growing preference for Phoenix connectors over XLRs in AV and fixed installations, Glensound is increasingly integrating these connectors into its Dante/AES67 interface products. For instance, the DARK8MAIP features Phoenix connectors on its high-performance eight-input microphone amplifier and network interface.
The Vittoria network bridge device has proven immensely useful to users and installers, offering a firewall between two Dante networks, two Ravenna networks, or translating between Dante and Ravenna across the firewall. Initially providing 32 I/O streams, Glensound now offers a 64 x 64 network bridge, catering to customer demand for expanded capabilities.
Marc Wilson, Managing Director of Glensound, said: “The Middle East market is always dynamic and always changing. Exhibiting at CABSAT gives us the opportunity to tap into the local industry and get its take on what is important. We pride ourselves on Glensound’s reputation for delivering robust and reliable audio devices. Ensuring that our products truly meet user demands is essential, particularly in a new and developing field like AoIP. CABSAT is our opportunity to show what we have to offer, and to get feedback to further refine our products.”
