At NAB, Grass Valley is unveiling cutting-edge solutions that are reshaping live production, content management, and distribution
Grass Valley is set to make a significant impact at NAB Show 2025 with a booth presence showcasing its GV Media Universe (GVMU).
Relocating to North Hall, Grass Valley will present a refreshed layout designed to fully demonstrate the integrated GVMU ecosystem, covering the entire production workflow from image capture to delivery. The exhibition will highlight the power of the AMPP platform, the advanced LDX 100 Series camera lineup, production switchers and media infrastructure, emphasising how these tools are shaping the future of media production.
Grass Valley President and Chief Operating Officer, Jon Wilson, said: “The dawn of a new age of media production is here, and we’re looking forward to meeting with customers and partners at our booth to demonstrate how the GV Media Universe is revolutionising the production landscape for media companies around the world.
“Our industry is in a pivotal moment with many complex challenges facing media businesses as they transition to a new way of operating while continuing to deliver great stories and drive down technology costs to a more sustainable long-term model. This is where the GVMU is changing the game for organisations of all sizes and we’re excited to share how we’re leading the media revolution at the NAB Show this year.”
At the heart of the GVMU is the AMPP platform, an operating system for media production that bridges hardware and software solutions, powering high-performance workflows across live production, content management, automation and distribution. The platform has seen significant adoption, with average monthly usage surpassing 11m hours. This success has fueled Grass Valley’s growth, with over 25% organic expansion in 2024 and numerous industry accolades.
Executive Chairman and CEO, Louis Hernandez Jr, added: “Grass Valley’s transformation has been driven by record investments in technology, processes, and people. At NAB Show 2025, we will be demonstrating how our focus on organic growth and true innovation with the GVMU is enabling a new era of agile, sustainable, cost-effective production and delivery for media businesses everywhere. We’re proud to be setting the pace for industry transformation and look forward to sharing significant new developments with our partners and customers.”
A key highlight at NAB Show 2025 will be the debut of the LDX 180 camera, featuring the new Super35 Xenios imager that delivers cinematic depth-of-field with enhanced definition and vibrancy.
Maintaining the signature attributes of the LDX Series, including Creative Grading for precise artistic control, the LDX 180 seamlessly merges cinematic depth with the speed and precision of live production. Also on display will be the LDX 110 with RF for wireless production and the LDX 135 with 5G connectivity, allowing direct AMPP integration without ingest conversion.
The Grass Valley booth will offer a comprehensive showcase of the entire GVMU ecosystem, covering cameras, live production, networking, processing, news and media workflows, content management, editing, linear and event-based playout and more. Visitors will also have the opportunity to engage with members of the GV Alliance, a collaborative network of industry leaders committed to streamlining production workflows.
Additionally, Grass Valley executives will participate in the GV Forum 2025 at the Renaissance Hotel Las Vegas on April 5. Hosted by the GVx Council, the event will feature panel discussions, case studies, exclusive industry research from Caretta Research, and AMPP technology demonstrations. Notable speakers include Del Parks, President of Sinclair Broadcast Group; Dave Travis, Group Director of Content, Broadcast & Platforms at Sky; Rebecca Jackson, Business Development Manager at Caretta Research; and Stuart Baillie, SVP of Media Engineering & Global Distribution at Paramount.
NAB Show 2025 will also mark the release of a new book by Grass Valley Chairman and CEO Louis Hernandez Jr., titled Digital Tsunami. The book explores the sweeping digital transformations reshaping the media and entertainment industry, providing critical insights for businesses adapting to this evolving landscape.
“The world is riding the crest of a digital wave that is transforming every aspect of our lives,” said Hernandez Jr. in prefacing his book.
