G&D's stand at IBC 2023 offers visitors the opportunity to experience these KVM solutions in action and learn more about their benefits.
German KVM manufacturer Guntermann & Drunck GmbH (G&D) has taken centre stage at IBC 2023, running until September 18, to introduce cutting-edge solutions for bridging the gap between broadcast and IT environments. G&D has introduced a range of new products from its VisionXS series. The KVM extenders are designed to integrate with matrices and offer a wide array of features to enhance the user experience. These systems are available for both traditional transmission and KVM-over-IP setups.
The VisionXS series leverages 10G data transmission technology to provide users with an enhanced experience and supports resolutions of up to 4K. G&D has also incorporated their lossless bluedeccompression technology into this series, ensuring authentic, pixel-perfect video quality.
In addition to the previously available DP-UHR variants capable of resolutions up to 4096 × 2160 @ 60 Hz, the product lineup now includes the new DP-HR variants, supporting resolutions of up to 2560 × 1600 @ 60 Hz.
For multi-monitor applications, G&D offers the VisionXS-DP-HR and VisionXS-IP-DP-HR variants, equipped with two display port connectors. This enables the operation of up to two monitors simultaneously while simplifying cabling and reducing the need for additional hardware.
New variants supporting Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) have also been introduced, allowing the devices to draw power through the transmission port. This not only streamlines planning and installation but also offers redundancy in case of power supply failures by utilising both the main power source and the network cable.
The latest additions to the VisionXS family are the VisionXS Type-C computer modules, which accommodate modern sources like USB-C computers, notebooks, tablets, and even smartphones, aligning with the trend toward an improved and universal USB standard.
The PersonalWorkplace-Controller offers integrated and flexible access to all necessary data at a single workstation, significantly enhancing workplace ergonomics. It enables real-time display of multiple computer sources on one large monitor, facilitating seamless operation of multiple computers from a single console.
G&D’s multiviewing tool, the PersonalWorkplace-Controller Pro Video, allows the display of up to 26 physical sources and streams on a single video wall.
G&D’s booth at IBC demonstrates how KVM deployment optimises workflows for gamers and producers during competitions and large live events in arenas. Producers can access various sources in real time and employ frame rate conversion to make signals available to viewers on a video wall or in scaled streams.
