Attendees are invited to visit Lawo's booth to explore unified, open platform, engage with product experts, and experience firsthand how Lawo’s technology is shaping the future of broadcast production.
Lawo is set to make waves at NAB Show 2025, taking place from April 6 to 9 in Las Vegas. The company will showcase its latest advancements in audio, video, networking and control solutions, reinforcing its commitment to shaping the future of broadcast production with enhanced efficiency, flexibility and a unified, open platform.
One of the key highlights of Lawo’s NAB exhibit will be its intelligent multiviewer solution. This system integrates .edge, the HOME platform, and the HOME Multiviewer App to optimise multiviewer display performance. By adjusting proxy resolution based on Picture-in-Picture (PiP) size, the solution significantly reduces bandwidth consumption and CPU load, ensuring smooth operations even in high-demand environments.
Lawo continues to push the boundaries of software-based media processing with the introduction of four new HOME Apps. Designed to enhance broadcast workflows, these apps run on standard server hardware and in the cloud, allowing broadcasters to streamline processing tasks without dedicated hardware.
The ever-expanding HOME Apps portfolio now boasts 14 applications, including the HOME Multiviewer, UDX Converter with HDR processing, Graphics Inserter, Test Pattern Generator, Color Corrector and Downstream Keyer. These solutions support multiple formats such as SMPTE ST2110, JPEG XS, NDI, SRT, Dante and H.264/H.265, offering broadcasters a scalable and flexible approach to media processing.
At the core of Lawo’s ecosystem is the HOME platform, an open, cloud-native management system for IP-based media infrastructures. Designed for automated device discovery, network security and centralised control, HOME simplifies complex workflows and ensures seamless integration across broadcast environments. This robust and scalable system enhances reliability and operational efficiency while reducing complexity.
Visitors to NAB 2025 will also experience the latest iteration of Lawo’s crystal broadcast console. Engineered for professional-grade performance in space-constrained environments, crystal is built on the RAVENNA/AES67 networking standards and is fully compliant with SMPTE ST2110-30/-31 for audio and ST2022-7 for redundancy, ensuring seamless IP-based integration and reliable operation.
The console offers two operational modes: Power Core mode, functioning as a standalone mixer powered by Lawo’s Power Core engine, and Controller mode, serving as an extension for mc² production consoles. Available in multiple configurations with 6, 8, or 14 faders, crystal can be expanded with Virtual Extension displays to meet diverse broadcast requirements.
Lawo will also showcase its flagship mc²36 audio production console, designed for a variety of applications, from broadcast and live events to theatres and houses of worship. With 384 processing channels (when upgraded to the new 12.0.0 software version), ST2110, AES67, RAVENNA and Ember+ compatibility, as well as an expansive I/O capacity of 864 channels, the mc²36 delivers performance in a compact footprint.
Another highlight will be the mc²56 audio production console, optimised for IP production environments. Featuring native support for SMPTE 2110, AES67/RAVENNA, DANTE and MADI, the mc²56 ensures seamless integration into complex production infrastructures. Equipped with comprehensive tools for surround sound mixing and a dedicated elevation controller for 3D audio, the console meets the growing demand for immersive audio experiences.
Lawo will also introduce new software releases for its mc² audio mixing systems at NAB 2025. Software Version 10.12 enhances channel management with a new Strip Assign page and improved Waves integration via ProLink. Additionally, security features aligned with EBU R.143 guidelines strengthen system protection.
Software Version 12.0 brings native support for the HOME mc² DSP App, enabling cloud-based audio processing and increasing the mc²36 MkII’s processing capacity from 256 to 384 channels at no additional cost.
Attendees are encouraged to visit the booth to explore Lawo’s unified, open platform, interact with product experts, and experience firsthand the future of broadcast production.
