The modular LiveU IP-video EcoSystem allows producers to easily configure and redeploy components across different workflows, providing flexibility for evolving production needs.
LiveU is set to present its enhanced IP-video EcoSystem at CABSAT 2025, highlighting how its robust, low-latency LRT (LiveU Reliable Transport) protocol is powering greater value from live video production. Designed to support broadcasters, sports organisations, production companies and content creators, the LiveU EcoSystem offers a complete solution for live video contribution, production, and distribution, enabling more efficient workflows and global storytelling.
At the heart of the showcase will be LiveU’s flagship portable and rackmount encoders—including the multi-cam LU800, the fixed LU810 and the compact LU300S. These units demonstrate the system’s flexibility across diverse live production challenges. LiveU will also demonstrate the power of remote production (REMI) workflows, enhanced by tools like IP Pipe, Video Return, Tally Light and Audio Connect, which integrate seamlessly with LiveU field units.
One of the main highlights will be the On-Site Production solution, which allows wireless live feeds to be transmitted from the field directly to OB trucks using LiveU’s Mobile Receiver. This solution is particularly effective for sports productions such as golf tournaments and car rallies, enabling dynamic multi-angle coverage and high-quality video over bonded cellular. The LU-Link Cloud Service simplifies remote connectivity, allowing users to connect to wireless networks in the field with a single click.
LiveU will also spotlight the latest version of LiveU Studio, its cloud-native production service. Integrated with LiveU’s 5G bonded encoders, the platform enables quick, affordable and synchronised multi-cam cloud production, delivering content to both digital and linear platforms. The revamped user interface streamlines live production workflows and enhances storytelling with sports features like instant replay and ISO recording.
Further innovations include LiveU Ingest, an automated solution that accelerates production by recording and tagging story metadata in real-time. It facilitates seamless integration with newsroom computer systems, MAMs, AI transcription tools, and storage platforms—eliminating manual steps and boosting productivity for broadcasters.
Another key feature on display will be LiveU Matrix, the company’s cloud-based platform for cost-effective IP video distribution. Used by major networks during the 2024 US election, Matrix allows users to manage and distribute a vast number of live feeds without the need for satellite or fiber infrastructure.
LiveU will also unveil LIQ (LiveU IQ), a new breakthrough in IP-video transport. By leveraging AI, eSIMs, and historical transmission data, LIQ intelligently switches between modems and networks in real time, ensuring maximum performance and reliability for mission-critical video delivery anywhere.
Finally, LiveU’s public safety solutions will be on display, including the lightweight LU-REQON1 field unit. Weighing under 2lbs, the device securely transmits real-time video from a variety of IP sources—such as drones, sensors, and IP cameras—making it ideal for emergency and security applications.
Attendees can explore these innovations and see live demonstrations at Sheikh Saeed Hall 1 (UK Pavilion), where LiveU will showcase how its evolving EcoSystem continues to transform the future of live video production.
