The company will highlight its solutions for IP convergence, field fiber transport, and signal processing and conversion.
MultiDyne Video & Fiber Optic Systems is set to showcase its latest advancements to the global broadcast and production community at CABSAT 2024. This marks a significant milestone as MultiDyne will exhibit independently for the first time, highlighting its commitment to expanding visibility worldwide through trade shows, channel partnerships, and more. The company is keenly focusing on the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, where fiber-optic networking and sports production are rapidly growing sectors.
At CABSAT 2024, MultiDyne will spotlight its newest innovations and flagship product lines designed to meet the demands of IP convergence, field fiber transport, and audio/video conversion. Among the highlights will be the SilverBack Series of fiber camera adapters, which cater to the rising regional interest in integrating digital cinema cameras into broadcast production workflows. The SilverBack Series transforms digital cinema cameras into SMPTE studio cameras for live multi-camera production, offering lightweight, versatile solutions suitable for live concerts, sports, TV productions, and worship services. This series includes various models to suit different budgets, all engineered to adapt to any camera brand. Demonstrations will feature the SilverBack-VB and other models connected to the SilverBack APE, showcasing remote power extension capabilities for 24VDC digital cinema cameras.
In addition, MultiDyne will debut its latest NanoBrix Series of miniature signal processing solutions, including the newly introduced 12G to HDMI converter from NAB last month. The NB2-12G-HDMI allows broadcast engineers to monitor 5.1 audio streams and downmix them to 2.0 stereo audio by converting a 12G 4K SDI signal to HDMI for live confidence monitoring. The NB2-SDI-HDMI variant is also available with a single-channel fiber input, capable of regenerating the incoming signal for daisy-chained monitors.
Furthermore, MultiDyne will demonstrate its MDoG Series of openGear solutions, designed to strengthen the integration between SDI and IP environments. Introduced at NAB Show 2024, the MDoG Series includes SMPTE ST 2110 network interface and low-latency JPEG-XS codec modules, providing efficient management of uncompressed and compressed signals across legacy systems and IP networks with full redundancy for optimised performance.
MultiDyne will also present advanced solutions for field fiber transport, featuring its latest throwdown and lockable solutions for both bulk and temporary fiber-optic links. The HoneyBadger, a ruggedised 5RU field fiber solution, addresses the increasing variety of formats, signals, and connectors, bridging the gap between fiber and IP. Additionally, the SilverBULLET miniature fiber-optic links offer portable, economical solutions for high-bandwidth, single-link transport, suitable for 24/7 broadcast links, emergency repairs, and speciality use cases requiring a small footprint and robust design.
