Oxygen DCTs Evolution P3 range of monitors will be showcased at IBC 2011.
The monitors have an onboard HD recorder, as well as various camera set-up facilities. Available in 7″ and 17″, the Evolution P3 have on-board recording and other features including on-board HDMI to HD-SDI conversion, which negates the need for external conversion boxes when shooting with DSLR cameras such as Canon 5D and 7D.
There is also a mode that allows users to view DSLR pictures. The standard features of the Evolution P3 monitors were developed in response to end user feedback for a product that could save time and assist with better camera set up, peaking, false colour and Y/C range checking, claims the company.
The monitors incorporate a histogram display, a waveform monitor and a vector display. The SDI video input automatically accepts 3G (level A & B), HD-SDI and SDI formats up to 2048×1080/24p.
The 1024×600 display enables detailed pictures, while a transflective filter rejects unwanted light. There are two daylight modes for shooting in high brightness conditions.
