Pebble Beach Systems will be demonstrating new graphics and remote control enhancements to its range at BroadcastAsia this year on stand 5E3-01.
A range of new tools and plug-ins in addition to Marina automation solution and Dolphin software-defined integrated channel device at, commented Regional Sales Manager for Asia, Ng Tze Ming. He said:
With a growing international client base of tier one broadcasters, were excited to introduce these new features to the Asian market as we continue to deliver innovative and adaptable tools which enable more efficient operations.
Pebble Web Client
Pebble Beach Systems Web Client tools, developed using HTML5 and the latest Web Server technology, offer a range of functions from straightforward monitoring of a single playlist, up to highly granular remote control of multiple Marina automation systems and Dolphin integrated channel devices across geographically dispersed locations. The Web Client is already deployed at a number of major broadcasters and is designed to offer close to real time access to single or multiple systems of all sizes and architectures on PC or tablet devices using Chrome, Safari, Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers.
Lighthouse – Monitoring by Exception Dashboard
Designed to alert Marina automation operators clearly and unambiguously to upcoming problems, Lighthouse is a dashboard display tool that monitors by exception. It aggregates all lists within the system, displaying a dashboard of the next problem on any list, and enabling early intervention in the case of, for example, validation errors, timing anomalies or missing media alerts. As the trend for more channels to be controlled by fewer operators continues, Lighthouse maximises the opportunity for early error detection and safeguards the smooth playout of all channels.
Powerful real time 3D Graphics Creation for Dolphin integrated channel device under Marina control
Pebble Beach Systems is also showing a new ClassX plug in which delivers affordable real-time advanced 3D branding. This graphics inserter is automatically populated from the Marina playlist, even if late breaking changes are made close to air. It will be shown generating Now Next Later graphics with video, as well as tickers, bugs and other animated channel branding devices. ClassX is a specialist broadcast graphics provider whose customers include Italian state broadcaster RAI, and MTV, and the company is also exhibiting at Broadcast Asia on stand 5F4-07.
Ng Tze Ming confirms: Thanks to our scalable automation solutions and integrated channel devices, Pebble Beach Systems is well placed to meet the needs of the growing market in Asia. Our focus is on delivering solutions which enable customers to exploit legacy and best of breed technologies whilst offering a migration path to new technologies. As more and more channels are launched, particularly in emerging markets such as Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia, we see great opportunities for growth, and our systems are able to expand as channel counts increase and broadcasters add new devices into their broadcast ecosystem. Were looking forward to demonstrating the range at Broadcast Asia, and making the most of the excellent networking opportunities which the show provides.
