Shure has announced the launch of the MV7+ Podcast Microphone, an evolution of its hybrid XLR/USB dynamic microphone. This new release represents a significant advancement from its predecessor, the MV7 Podcast Microphone, featuring a sleeker design and enhanced software upgrades tailored to meet the demands of modern creators, delivering improved audio quality with effortless usability.
Engineered for discerning streamers, podcasters, and musicians, the MV7+ caters to those aiming to capture broadcast-quality audio even in challenging environments. Shure’s cutting-edge Voice Isolation Technology prioritises the user’s voice, effectively minimising background noise for better audio clarity during recording and streaming sessions. The microphone also boasts an innovative onboard Digital Signal Processing (DSP) engine, empowering users with advanced features like an enhanced Auto Level Mode, Digital Popper Stopper for better plosive control, Real-time Denoiser, and Adjustable Reverb. Additionally, the MV7+ introduces a full-touch LED live meter display and offers a wide range of customisation options, setting a new standard in sound quality and personalisation while introducing vibrant colour options.
To enhance the user experience further, the MV7+ integrates seamlessly with the new MOTIV Mix Desktop app, Shure’s latest MOTIV software interface. MOTIV Mix grants users complete control over all aspects of the MV7+, allowing for multi-track recording and routing to optimise livestreaming and recordings. Key features and benefits of the MV7+ include a multi-colour LED Touch Panel, real-time Denoiser, digital Popper Stopper, improved auto level mode, onboard reverb, and hybrid XLR and USB-C outputs.
Unlocking the full potential of the MV7+ is made possible through the MOTIV Mix software interface, enabling users to customise the LED panel, access multi-track recording and routing channels, and fine-tune settings such as sound signature and gain. A Beta version of the software will be available at launch, streamlining workflows and reducing the need for multiple apps. Key features of MOTIV Mix include a Multi-channel Mixer, Soundcheck, a redefined Monitor Mix Slider, and Full access.
MOTIV Mix will soon be compatible with other legacy MOTIV products, paving the way for future software innovations and premium features.
The MV7+ Podcast Microphone is available in black, with the black version currently offered through Shure’s official partners and Amazon. The white version, along with a special bundle called the MV7+ Podcast kit, which includes the black microphone and a Gator mic stand, will be available this summer.
Each purchase of the MV7+ includes a 3m USB-C to USB-C cable, a printed quick start guide, and a MOTIV MIX Art Card with download instructions. Additional accessories such as a 15-inch USB-C to lightning cable and a replacement foam windscreen can be purchased separately.
