Sony Middle East and Africa has announced its new live production system camera, affordable for broadcasters and event production companies needing a quality solution for a 4K-ready production system.
Koichi Murakami, Head of Professional Division at Sony Middle East & Africa, said: “There has been a significant rise in the number of 4K compatible devices available in the Middle Eastern and African markets. The increase in customer demand for the ability to fully immerse oneself in the incredible space of 4K video is what is driving this expansion. Moreover, businesses are now actively looking for adaptive solutions to transition between production formats, such as 4K, HD, and HDR. Despite their current emphasis on creating the majority of their projects in HD, they understand how crucial it is to prepare their business for the future. They strive to promptly fulfil requests that include 4K or HDR components, displaying their capacity to change to meet fluctuating consumer expectations.”
While most event production companies, e-sports organisations, houses of worship or educational institutions produce most of their content in HD, they are increasingly aware of the benefits offered by 4K production and are looking for simple ways to switch to 4K. Sony’s HXC-FZ90 with its familiar design philosophy and operations allows a seamless switchover at the time chosen by the organisation. The HXC-FZ90 also supports HLG (Hybrid Log Gamma) and S-Log3 for Sony’s SR Live workflow enabling HD HDR or 4K HDR when desired.
The versatility of design and functionality combined with its lightness and robustness mean the camera will be used in many different production scenarios from Studios, events, corporate or sports environments.
