Cobalt Digital, manufacturer of 3G/HD/SDSDI conversion gear, has expanded remote control choices with the launch of its WinOGCP panel for desktop virtual control of all the companys Fusion3G 9900 and COMPASS 9000 series signal processing cards.
The WinOGCP gives users flexibility by utilising Cobalts optional +LM software to monitor and control loudness levels and dialnorm from anywhere via a LAN/WAN connection. Cobalts +LM loudness meter software, compliant with ITU BS.1770, ATSC A/85, and EBU R128 standards, operates directly with the Companys Fusion3G and most 9000 series COMPASS cards to provide a solution for ingest or on-air loudness metering and assessment. WinOGCP communicates with and controls cards in an openGear frame over an optimised high-speed openGear control protocol using a PCs standard Ethernet connection – no additional hardware is required.
A keypad provides intuitive access with minimal submenus. For any card, only one level of submenus is needed to access all of its functions. Station engineers can configure the panel to restrict availability of specific cards and parameters for operation. WinOGCP works with openGears DashBoard and Cobalts OGCP-9000 control panels any changes made with either system are instantly reflected on the other, claims the company.
WinOGCP has background settings that are optimized for bright and low light environments. The large size high-resolution graphics utilise the full width of the desktop, offering clear graphics and easy to read text.
