New to CABSAT is the Observer TS (transport stream) logging system from US firm Volicon, giving IPTV service providers, broadcasters, networks and cable operators the ability to handle MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 transport streams efficiently over the WAN with a low-resolution proxy.
Complementing the existing Observer Enterprise analog, SD-SDI, and HD-SDI systems, this new interface simplifies signal flow, allows for greater signal density and flexibility, and enables full-quality content logging.
Volicon will also bring to its stand at CABSAT the new release of Observer Enterprise version 6.0 which includes fully ITU-R BS.1770 compliant Loudness Monitoring, AC-3 (Dolby Digital) decoding, and additional updates.
Visitors can also see the Content Matching Module (CMM) for Volicon Observer systems, which enables operators to flag and access specific audio cues when they appear in a broadcast, as well as the latest release of the Observer Remote Program Monitor (RPM), delivering critical on-demand and interactive services and advertising by leveraging automated video monitoring tools that can emulate customer actions.
