Zixi will kick off IBC 2023 as the title sponsor of the Devoncroft Summit.
Zixi is set to showcase a range of features and capabilities that streamline the process of connecting content creators and distributors to global audiences, harnessing the expansive Zixi Enabled Network that encompasses more than 1000 media companies and 400 technology partners worldwide. This network facilitates the exchange of live video, sparking new content acquisition, business models, and revenue generation opportunities. The unveiling will take place at IBC 2023, scheduled from September 15 to 18, 2023.
Alongside individually scheduled meetings and demonstrations, the Zixi team will be present at the convention, affording attendees the chance to engage with subject matter experts, integrated partners, and prominent global media firms that utilise the SDVP (Software-Defined Video Platform) to address current challenges and anticipate future demands. Attendees can expect discussions covering a range of topics, including workflows and primary Zixi solution sets such as the D2C Gateway, advanced monitoring of AWS MediaConnect through ZEN Master control, satellite replacement deployments, delivery of numerous streams from regional affiliates to different vMPVDs, complex 5G deployments, and FAST channel distribution.
Zixi will kick off IBC 2023 as the title sponsor of the distinguished Devoncroft Summit, with SVP John Wastcoat and CEO Gordon Brooks speaking at the event bringing together global industry leaders to discuss the business of media at the Tuschinski Theatre, Amsterdam on September 14 at 12 PM.
Gordon Brooks, CEO of Zixi, will moderate a panel discussion at the prestigious IBC Showcase Theatre on Sunday, September 17, from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM. The panel will delve into best practices in IP delivery and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) within broadcast delivery workflows. The panel includes industry leaders such as Dave Travis, Group Director of Content, Broadcast & Platforms at Sky.
Within the exhibition booth, Zixi will highlight its latest integration with the TAG Multiviewer. This integration enables users to utilise a unified control plane, ZEN Master, to feed sources into TAG MV layouts and transmit these mosaics to desired targets, streamlining control and simplifying operations. Moreover, part of the Intelligent Data Platform (IDP), Zixi will unveil broadcast automation advancements powered by advanced AI and ML analytics. These enhancements include features like Auto Incidents employing Multi-Object-Correlation-Analysis (MOCA), which expedites root cause analysis (RCA) for rapid issue resolution.
Zixi will also present new capabilities of the SDVP, including ultra-low latency with enhanced throughput, compute, and efficiency, enabling optimised workflows and substantial cost savings. Zixi Broadcaster v17 will be showcased, exemplifying improved processing capacity that requires 80% less compute while reducing egress costs by up to 50% compared to other industry solutions. This efficiency allows organisations to maximise resources, minimise expenses, and consistently deliver high-quality video content. Additionally, the ability to run on ARM Processors, including AWS Graviton 2/3, known for being cost-efficient and energy-saving, will also be demonstrated, highlighting its significant impact on the TCO of video streaming implementations. This heightened efficiency negates the need for excessive virtual machines, leading to reduced infrastructure requirements and substantial savings.
The partnership between Zixi and AWS will also be a highlight, including the integration of SDVP in AWS Wavelength Zones. This integration empowers customers to leverage 5G’s power and establish widespread adoption of low-latency 5G MEC architecture. The orchestration and monitoring of AWS Elemental MediaConnect and MediaLive channels through ZEN Master will be showcased live in both the Zixi and AWS booths at Hall 5, C.90.
Notably, the Zixi Broadcaster and ZEN Master, available in the AWS Marketplace for an extended period, have now been launched in the Azure Marketplace and GCP Marketplace for public and private sales, increasing Zixi’s versatility within public cloud infrastructures.
Zixi Enabled Network ecosystem partners demonstrating their Zixi integrated offerings in the Partner Village will include Red5 Pro, Videon Labs, OneWeb, and Streann Media.
Red5 Pro (Red5 Pro) will demonstrate how users can utilise WebRTC and its real-time streaming platform to deliver content to millions in milliseconds leveraging the reach of the global Zixi Enabled Network along with support from Videon Labs and Osprey Video
Videon Labs (Videon) will exhibit the newly native Zixi integration of Videon EdgeCaster EZ encoder, a contribution edge encoding device designed for the point-of-production, delivering both low-latency and cost-efficiency with ZEN Master support for unified orchestration, management and control.
OneWeb (OneWeb) will demonstrate Zixi support in its delivery ecosystem which enables high-speed, low-latency connectivity for governments, businesses, and communities around the world.
Streann Media (Streann Media) will exhibit the Zixi-enabled OTT platform that empowers content providers with innovative creation distribution, engagement, and monetisation tools for the ultimate end-user experience.
Gordon Brooks, Executive Chairman and CEO, Zixi, said: “Zixi has had a record first half in 2023 and demand keeps growing, and this will be Zixi’s largest booth presence that will be used to demonstrate our groundbreaking efficiency developments that are focused on sustainability and lowering total cost of ownership. At a scale and scope unparalleled in the market, we are making Zixi your only choice to efficiently deploy large-scale IP distribution systems reliably and securely.”
