Set to be completed in 2024, the 2Africa project will connect 33 countries, delivering reliable connectivity and internet services across Africa, Asia, and Europe.
At 45,000km, the project is the longest subsea cable ever deployed, serving communities that rely on the internet throughout all three continents.
The 2Africa PEARLS branch will serve an even wider range of communities that rely on the internet for services from education to healthcare and businesses.
Dubbed as 2Africa, the 37,000km-long-cable around the continent is expected to bring better connectivity to 1.3bn Africans.
