Cairo International Film Festival has announced its first official partnership with the Festival Hub’s networking event.
The 45th edition of the film festival has also announced a new competition for documentaries as part of the festival’s development plan.
The 44th edition of the festival saw 103 films participating from 53 countries.
The movie is a semi-biographical tale about the director's early life and how he fell in love with filmmaking.
Kawase is the youngest person to win Cannes’ Palme d’Or for best debut which she picked up in 1997 for 'Suzaka'.
The submissions for the 44th edition will officially open on May 15 and close on August 15.
Ramses will take up the role immediately to manage the 44th edition, which is expected to take place in the second half of November 2022.
The film festival will take place from June 11 to June 20, 2021.
The film is the first Egyptian feature-length narrative confirmed for the 2020 edition of the festival.
