A Moroccan fiction film, 'The Damned Don't Cry', will open the festival on April 26 at Kino Arsenal.
A group of twelve selected filmmakers from the Arab diaspora will work with experts during the two-day ATELIER workshop.
ALFILM will screen a selection of feature films, documentaries, and short films from the Arab world exploring political and social issues, migration, as well as personal crises.
Effective December 2020, Karin Schyle will be the Executive Director and Pascale Fakhry will lead the festival as Artistic Director.
The film festival is scheduled to run from September 1 to 29.
