Eutelsat Konnect VHTS will provide fixed broadband and mobile connectivity across Europe, North Africa and the Middle East.
Intended to serve the Americas, the satellite is designed to accelerate digital inclusion programmes in the region.
The satellite is a Very High Throughput (VHTS) craft and aims to boost Eutelsat's broadband coverage over Africa.
Egypts TIBA-1 geostationary satellite was also part of the payload and will be used for Egypts civil and government communications.
