The two mission specialists, Ali Alqarni and Rayyanah Barnawi from Saudi Arabia, are members of the inaugural Saudi national astronaut programme.
For the Ax-2 mission, Axiom Space will submit four proposed crew members and four backup crew to the stations Multilateral Crew Operations Panel for review.
