Last year’s edition featured 143 films from 66 countries to 39,410 filmgoers and 4,345 film professionals, media and students, with an overall percentage capacity increase of 12%.
Labaki and Kapoor will also appear at the festival as part of the 'In Conversation' series on December 3 and 7, respectively.
The renowned Italian-Algerian director will participate in an intimate In-Conversation ahead of a special screening of his latest film, 'Bones and All' at this year's edition.
The festival will open with Shekhar Kapur’s romantic comedy ‘What's Love Got to Do With It?’ and conclude with 'Valley Road' by Saudi director Khaled Fahd.
In addition, the Red Sea Fund has announced 23 winners for its second development stage cycle.
