Cairo Int’lFilm Festival opens with a spotlight on Palestinian films

Applications for these workshops are open until August 31, 2024.
This extension is in response to the high demand for registration through the festival's official website.
This year’s edition will throw a greater spotlight on Arab Cinema and introduce additional awards, including the Horizons of Arab Cinema Awards.
Helmed by Muayad Alayan and co-written with Rami Alayan, the film will be distributed in the Arab world by MAD Solutions.
To be eligible for submission, which ends on August 7, projects must be directed by filmmakers of Arab nationality or origin.
The 45th edition of the film festival has also announced a new competition for documentaries as part of the festival’s development plan.
The 44th edition of the festival saw 103 films participating from 53 countries.
