This psychological horror film, directed and produced by Nayla Al Khaja and co-written by Ben Williams, features British actor Jefferson Hall.
The story for Mountain Boy is based on the 2017 children’s book 'The Boy Who Knew the Mountains', written by Emirati-Australian author Michele Ziolkowski.
'Mountain Boy' is being filmed in the Hajar Mountains of Fujairah by Emirati filmmaker Zainab Shaheen.
The film will screen in Vox Cinemas in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman and Al Ain from December 1 to 7.
The movie is the first production by Sharjah Media City and is the result of a two-year initiative that involved more than 2,000 aspiring creatives from around the UAE.
The film is written and directed by Humaid Alsuwaidi, who also co-produced the film along with Ahmed Lotfy.
Distributed by Mad Solutions, the film is produced by Toaster Productions and Anasy Media and directed by Alyazia Bint Nahyan.
The film was released in 28 theatres in the UAE, and two theatres in each of Kuwait and Bahrain in 2018.
Directed and written by Humaid Alsuwaidi, the film stars Mohammed Ahmed, Suhail Aljneibi, Dhaen Juma, and Manahel Alawadi. The film is distributed worldwide by MAD Solutions.
