The channel will host a variety of behind-the-scenes content from Extreme E in addition to weekly contests.
Extreme E will have access to WSC Sports’ cloud-based live-clipping platform Clipro, allowing the series to create and publish near-live and post-race highlights.
The series has worked alongside YouGov Sport to gather data and insight into the audience of Extreme E’s first-ever race.
The partnership with TikTok covers all five of Extreme E’s events in 2021, with each event highlighting an environment affected by climate change.
Extreme E becomes the latest motorsport event to be broadcast by KSA Sports, and follows in the footsteps of F1, the Dakar Rally and Formula E.
Saudi Arabia will host Extreme E’s inaugural race and MENA viewers will be able to tune in to the live-action which will be aired in English, Arabic and Farsi.
The Tel-Aviv-based station will televise Extreme E’s live races, plus the highlight shows, in Hebrew, on its pay-to-view channels.
Al Kamel Systems will provide services remotely from its Spanish headquarters in Barcelona to keep a minimal on-site footprint.
The agreement with COSMOTE TV is the latest in a long line of broadcast partnerships already announced by Extreme E.
The series will be broadcast on Saran Media Group’s S Sport and S Sport2 channels as well as via the S Sport Plus digital platform.
The deal will see Extreme E’s five-race series aired live to more than 30 African countries including Kenya, Nigeria, and Cameroon.
The series will premiere on ESPN (Dstv 218, GOtv 38) and ESPN2 (Dstv 219) in 2021.
