Locarno Film Festival teams up with Mubi for new award
The Mubi Award – Debut Feature at Locarno will be decided by a jury made up of Moroccan director-producer Khalil Benkirane, Alma Pöysti and Esmé Sciaroni.

The Mubi Award – Debut Feature at Locarno will be decided by a jury made up of Moroccan director-producer Khalil Benkirane, Alma Pöysti and Esmé Sciaroni.
'The Red Sea Makes Me Wanna Cry' was Alrjoob's thesis film at the Academy of Media Arts Cologne.
Previously, Kane served as head of acquisitions at Curzon Artificial Eye, where she had been since 2011.
The content is available on the MUBI website and soon will also be available on its Apple and Android apps.
The platform has partnered with MUBI and Watch platform to draw films from their content bank every week which will be then discussed on a virtual meeting platform.
As part of this initiative, 30 films will be hand-picked by Cinema Akil and Mubi on rotational selection each month and screened on https://mubi.com/cinemaakil
