The NCC hopes to address the dearth of infrastructure and services in the region with technologies, inclusive of 5G, broadband satellite services, and others.
Austin Nwaulune made the statement on a panel at the virtual Nigeria Com (2020), an annual event for accelerating Nigerias digital economy.
Earlier in January, the NCC issued landing permits to 55 space stations to provide coverage over Nigerias territory.
In 2019, the NCC provided licenses for commercial satellite space segment with 55 operators empowered with landing permit.
