The selected projects, vying for the coveted Yusr Awards, include all cinematic forms, from narrative to animation and documentary, featuring films from Asia, Africa, and across the Arab world.
The award was handed out by Red Sea Festival execs Mohammed Al Turki, Jomana Al-Rashid, and Egyptian actress Yousra.
In addition to winning three Oscars, Oliver Stone has been nominated for 31 Academy Awards, including eight for acting, six for screenwriting, and three for directing.
The festival will open with Shekhar Kapur’s romantic comedy ‘What's Love Got to Do With It?’ and conclude with 'Valley Road' by Saudi director Khaled Fahd.
