These services include providing satellite imagery to end-users, providing global civil aviation with space weather information, and supporting satellite missions over Africa.
The conference aims to promote and develop the science and technology in the African space arena.
The additional 20 antennas will boost SANSAs growing capacity in space operations and make the Agency more competitive in the international TT&C market.
The camp is a tripartite collaboration between South Africa, Germany and the U.S.A, represented by SANSA, DLR and the University of Alabama respectively.
