The film highlights the heroic defence of Khorfakkan’s people during the invasion in 1507 led by naval commander General Afonso de Albuquerque.
The film, which documents the epic resistance of the people of Khorfakkan against colonial invasion, was directed by Maurice Sweeney and British Ben Mole.
The documentary will be aired on Sharjah TV on the same day that the film, based on the Ruler of Sharjah, HH Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qassimi’s book, is released in UAE cinemas.
