'The Present' is one of two Arab films that have been nominated for the 93rd Academy Awards for the Best Live Action Short Film category.
The film is co-written by Palestinian filmmaker and poet Hind Shoufani and produced by Philistine Films.
Tunisian director Kaouther Ben Hania’s 'The Man Who Sold His Skin' and Palestinian filmmaker Farah Nabulsi’s 'The Present' are in the running for the Oscars this year.
