Turksat 6A will be the countrys first communications satellite built domestically by the TÜBİTAK Space Technologies Research Institute.
With a 30-year lifetime, Turkey's 5A satellite was launched by SpaceX in January.
Turksat 5A, which is scheduled for launch in later this year by SpaceX, is expected to have more than 30 years of life in orbit.
