The Jawwy TV platform offers content from 30 global and regional networks, with a library of more than 28,000 Arabic and Western titles.
The agreement comes in alignment with Vodafone Egypt’s aim to provide digital content to its customers.
The operators will receive half of the frequencies within the first three months, while the rest will be apportioned later within the year.
The cash offer is for Vodafones 55% stake in Vodafone Egypt, the remaining part of which is held by state-owned Telecom Egypt.

The telecoms operator signed a deal to purchase Vodafone Egypt for $2.4bn in January.
The regulator noted that this purchase was subject to a 1992 law that requires a mandatory tender for any outstanding shares in the company.
