Zawya's lineup features some of the most anticipated films from the upcoming El Gouna Film Festival.
Co-written and directed by first-time feature filmmaker Amjad Al Rasheed, the film is a co-production between Jordan, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
The film is directed, produced, and written by Mohamed El Samman.
The selected films are scheduled for screening at Zawya Cinema from December 17 to 23, 2023.
Following the initial screening of 'Ahl El-Qema' in the programme, Zawya Cinema will host a post-show panel discussion featuring the Egyptian filmmaker Aly Badrakhan.
Co-written and co-edited by Muhammad Mustapha, the documentary was brought to life through the production expertise of Hassala Films.
Initially screening in cinemas across the Greater Cairo Area and Alexandria, the film is now launching in Gouna and El-Gharbiya’s Tanta.
Produced by Film Clinic, '19B' is headlined by Sayed Ragab, Ahmed Khaled Saleh, Nahed El Sebai, and Fadwa Abed.
Tickets are available at the box office in Zawya or online from the website.
MAD Solutions is managing the film's distribution across the Arab world.
The film won a post-production grant from the Doha Film Institute.
Independent films from Egyptian filmmakers will be made available through Zawya Cinema to ensure more visibility for this market.
